- Parliament.uk On 9 February 2023, the Independent Parliamentary Standards Authority announced that MPs’ pay will increase to £86,584 from 1 April 2023.
- Parliament.uk The basic annual salary for an MP from 1 April 2022 is £84,144.
- Parliament.uk: From 1 April 2020, the annual salary of a Member of Parliament increased to £81,932.
- Parliament.uk: The basic annual salary for an MP from 1 April 2019 is £79,468.
- Independent Nov. 2018: A ‘Public Duties Cost Allowance’ exists “to assist former Prime Ministers with the costs of continuing to fulfil duties associated with their previous position in public life.” The allowance, worth £115,000, is technically available for a lifetime.
